Medical Reserve Corps seeking volunteers from community

The Monroe County Medical Reserve Corps is a group of volunteers that are called upon to help during a public health emergency or during special events.

The group is under the direction of the Monroe County Health Department; and volunteers are needed in both health professional and non-medical support roles. This would include nurses, physicians, dentists and paramedics; and all those who would want to help the medical staff.

Orientation sessions are scheduled quarterly; and the next round of those information meetings will be at the following dates and times at the health department, 2353 S. Custer Road:

Jan. 11: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

n Jan. 16: 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

Jan. 24: 2-3 p.m.
